Venom 3 Release Date
Venom 3 is scheduled to be released in the US on November 8, 2024. It was previously expected to be released in October 2024 and was scheduled for release on July 12, 2024.
Sony signed deals with Netflix and Disney in April 2021 for the rights to their 2022 to 2026 film slate, following the films' theatrical and home media windows. Netflix signed on for the exclusive "Pay 1 Window" streaming rights, which was typically an 18-month window and included future Venom films following Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Disney signed the "Pay 2 Window" rights for the films, which will stream on Disney+ and Hulu, as well as air on Disney's linear television network.
Venom 3 Release Date Trailer
Not yet. Unlike many films that were hampered by the writers and actors strike last year, Venom 3 quickly resumed production in November 2023. That means it will probably have a trailer ready for CinemaCon in April. Sony prefers to premiere the trailer at CinemaCon, where the trailer for Kraven the Hunter was shown in 2023. Kraven is one of Sony's Spider-Man-related movies, and it hits theaters on August 30, just a few months before Venom 3.
Venom 3 Release Date on Netflix
The date of the film's release is now confirmed as being on the 8th of November 2024 in theaters, with its streaming premiere planned for the Netflix in 2025. At first, the movie was set up for the screening to take place on July 12, 2024, but as time goes by, it was reset for November 8, 2024.
Venom 3 Cast
Besides Eddie Brock and Hardy as Venom, only two other cast members have been confirmed for Venom 3. Ted Lasso's Juno Temple and Doctor Strange's Chiwetel Ejiofor. Despite Ejiofor's Marvel experience, it's highly unlikely that he'll be reprising his role as Carl Mordo in this movie. Ejiofor may be playing a different character, but we don't know if he will be Eddie's friend or the film's primary villain.
Similarly, we know nothing about Mandir's character in the film. It has just been confirmed that Temple is a co-lead in Venom 3, which suggests that she will be connected to Venom and that she may also be a love interest for Eddie.
Venom 3 Plot
For those unfamiliar with the franchise, let us fill you in on what you may have missed.
Hardy's Brock is an investigative journalist who stumbles upon a gooey sentient alien who uses him as its 'host' and imbues him with violence, superhuman powers and an insatiable appetite for bad guys.
Fleischer's first film sets up the world, introducing us to Brock and his ex-fiancée Anne Weing, played by Michelle Williams, and Riz Ahmed's villain Carlton Drake AKA Riot, a rival symbiote hell bent on destroying the world.
In Serkis' sequel, Sony takes Marvel's mainline Spider-Man universe a step further by introducing us to Woody Harrelson's Cletus Cassady, better known to comic fans as the cult-fave character Carnage.
Serkis dipped the franchise's toes into the multiverse playground, setting things up nicely for possible future crossovers with Holland's Peter Parker and the mainline MCU's current Spider-Man.
Sadly, this is all we know of Venom at this point. When it comes to the United Venom: Let There Be Carnage sequel, information about what it might contain is being kept close to the character's chest. Filming on the movie began in late June 2023 but was forced to stop shortly after due to the ongoing Hollywood strike. It is currently waiting to be started once more.
